Vanessa Valenzuela graduated Summa Cum Laude from the California State University of Sacramento with a degree in Sociology. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where she graduated Cum Laude.
During law school, Vanessa completed multiple internships with the San Diego County Public Defender’s Office, where she gained extensive courtroom and trial experience. She also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Eddie C. Sturgeon of the San Diego Superior Court, where she conducted legal research and prepared confidential written memoranda and tentative rulings for the court.
Vanessa has been practicing family law, exclusively, since being admitted to the California State Bar. She takes pride in providing each client with clear and honest advice, while helping him or her navigate through the complex court system. Vanessa knows that no two family law matters are the same and she dedicates the time necessary to understand the goals of every client she represents. Vanessa is also one of the few native and fluent Spanish-speaking family law attorneys in the Sacramento area.
In her free time she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, large family and fur-child, Sheeba. She takes pleasure in traveling, eating food from around the globe, and listening to 90’s music.
