Jaspreet Hundal graduated from the University of California, Davis, with a degree in Political Science. While at UC Davis, Jaspreet was bestowed the distinct honor and privilege of graduating Magna Cum Laude, and in the top 10% of his class. His education focused on elections and voting behavior, and Supreme Court decision making. He was invited by the Political Science department to author an honors thesis, a privilege reserved for a distinct group of qualifying students. He accepted this invitation and authored his thesis on Supreme Court decision making.
Jaspreet went on to the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where he graduated with Honors, and in the top 25% of his class. He was honored to be inducted to the prestigious Justice Traynor Honor Society. He was named a Top Ten Oral Appellate Advocate for his oral advocacy before a mock three judge panel, which included judges from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
While at McGeorge School of Law, Jaspreet concentrated his legal studies on taxation. He was honored to receive the prestigious Witkin Award in Real Estate Tax, Corporate Tax, and International Tax. He also participated in the landlord/tenant mediation clinic where he honed many of his key negotiation and mediation skills used in his family practice today. His passion for family law began while interning for a law firm while in law school.
After being admitted to the California State Bar, family law has comprised nearly all of Jaspreet’s legal practice experience. He has litigated many family law and landlord/tenant disputes. He has also drafted basic to complex estate plans. Over the past few years, Jaspreet has dedicated his practice of law solely to family law related matters. He has worked on basic to complex divorces, and has litigated many child custody, child support, spousal support, and property division related issues. He takes great pride in taking a unique approach to each case. He understands that each family law case is distinct and requires a tailored approach. This requires providing honest and clear advice, and ensuring clients have realistic expectations.
A critical part of Jaspreet’s approach to family law is providing intelligently aggressive representation. This means that representation must be aggressive, but also narrowly tailored to the level of aggressiveness necessary to accomplish the client’s goals.
In his free time, Jaspreet enjoys spending quality time with his wife and son. Nothing excites him more than spending time with his son. He spends his weekends playing a game of pick-up basketball, traveling, and doing fun activities with his son.
